The Closet, a clothing bank that provides clothing to approximately 200 single parent families per year, helps ensure that children are not attending school with holes in their jeans/shoes and single parents can dress as needed for employment or job interviews. All merchandise is free to single parent families who hold a “Closet Passport.” Customers may shop once a week and are able to take 10 items per visit.
The Closet’s goal is to ensure single parents and their children have the clothes necessary to be successful in school, at work or in the community. The program provided more than 5,000 items to single parent families in 2013 alone.
All items at The Closet are contributed by community members, and the store is operated entirely by volunteers. We are thankful to all those who help us maintain this wonderful resource for single parents in our community. Please contact us if you would like to set up a time to drop off donated items or volunteer your time.

The Closet is open Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. (holiday hours may vary). It is located on Highway 66, between Francis Street and Gay Street on the north side of the road — look for a white barn behind the two brown farmhouses.
